Welcome to Embers. Based in the rugged landscape of Cornwall, we specialise in fire-cooked events, immersive pop-ups, intimate supper clubs, and unforgettable weddings.
At Embers, we believe the best flavor is forged in flame. Chef Daniel Garland crafts world-influenced menus that prioritise bold, flavour-led experiences. Using custom-built Fire Made grills, every dish is an exploration of smoke, char, and heat.
Our commitment to the land is as strong as our passion for the grill. We cook with sustainable, locally sourced ingredients, honoring Cornwall’s rich larder—from the morning’s catch to organic produce from nearby fields.
With a career forged in respected kitchens, Daniel brings a high-definition technique to the wild nature of open-fire cooking. His journey started at Le Café Anglais, Theo Randall at the InterContinental, Orrery, Launceston Place, and ROVI, Yottam Ottolenghi’s celebration of vegetables, fermentation, and fire. And most recently as head chef at The Old Coastguard in Mousehole, deepening his connection to his Cornish heritage and coastal cooking.Â
He also worked on Superyachts and catered at events such as Taste of London, Meatopia, and the BBC Good Food Show.
